I remember posting my first Sailormoon-related story on FF.net in October 2000 and her name popped up in a review :D

On a further note I believe a lot of the LJ friends I've added are/were in the same fandoms as me and we still keep in touch.

I was meant to meet a co-worker at C14 but she didn't turn up - due to a huge hangover. I had the feeling this would happen when she said the day before that she would be drinking in bars with her best friend. These things are very easy to predict so I was of the "whatever lah" mind for the rest of the day. After saying she would see how she feels later on in the day I insisted she not worry and get some rest. Too bad she missed out on eyecandy seeing as she is a Smallville fan >:)

Oh dear now I am tempted to go to The Hub (Torchwood convention) as that's two weeks away. The guest list was small the last time I checked but now there's more people. I am down for missing out on Collectormania 13 where the lineup rocked even with the explosive John Barrowman effect and the fans got crazy. I would have gone there for two people.

Kino Makoto/Sailorjupiter from Bishoujo Senshi Sailormoon. Though personally I'd prefer be Mako herself rather than the Sailor Senshi counterpart as said character is pretty complex on her own.

Non-anime characters would have to be either Sydney Bristow or Buffy Summers. I think one can see a trend here ^_^;;

edit Spotted two people with Nightwish shirts. One of each era i.e. old and new. Whether or not they clashed I'll never know. In fact I saw tons of metalheads yesterday.

Last night I did a random search on Shinohara Emi out of crazy curiosity. Of course lots of Sailormoon clips came about, which included the Inner Senshi Seiyuu singing Moon Revenge live (in front of a hugely enthusiastic crowd of very geeky maybe ecchi fanboys - you just have to look at their reactions to see what I'm talking about). I'm ashamed to say I still remember the lyrics from the top of my head too ^_^;;;;

Is it me or does the camera zoom up on Tomizawa Michie a lot? Same goes with Mitsuishi Kotono. Both those ladies are stunning...though what about Shinohara Emi? Now that woman looked like a real diva who appeared good for her age ^^;; I do think Mitsuishi Kotono is a good Seiyuu. She voiced Arisugawa Juri and Katsuragi Misato =) A complete switch of character from Excel or Usagi, eh?

Also I updated the fmv recs for Mako tribute vids with two more cute findings --> sparkling!! :)

Now I'm going to get out of my guilty pleasure shell and watch some cracky things XD!! In this case that would be Torchwood.

I catch bits of this controversial medical series once in a while when nobody's fighting with the TV. I don't know why but I went to find fanfiction on it during breaks today.

Understandably given it's not super popular like Animanga series nor rated 15 like my favourite medical dramas, there aren't many fanfics available even went to find some Seinen-ai since the subtext was canon for a few minutes in one early episode. I think it was in season 2 I'll still weep when I see rabid fans bashing of course though as a mature audience is required no not 100% hentai, that is hopefully some things will okay in the fandom. If I was up to speed with the series so far I'd definitely go volunteer on some ship manifestos or character essays no doubt.

Did any of you Mako writers get this too?

For some weird reason when I re-read the lyrics for Adam & The Ants' song Prince Charming I am often reminded of Chiba Mamoru...or to be a little more exact his treatment in the often psychotic Sailormoon fandom. Sure I saw a really good MV that paid tribute to Captain Jack Sparrow using the same song but overall it's slightly more of a Mamo theme tune when you think about it.

The main lyrics that strike me:

I reckon most of the words act like forms of motivation from the fans as if they were talking to the character

I'm guessing it's okay to go to this Open Day in Hammersmith even though the phonelines were constantly engaged each time I attempted to call to reserve a place. Woudln't be surprised if hundreds had the same thing happening to them in the past two weeks.

I'm still very tempted to go shopping for old school music o.O I guess the festive mood is growing unexpectedly, hence the need to shop for goodies.

I hope many of you have had a nice New Year celebration. I myself didn't do much on New Year's Eve. Stayed at home rather than went out to London (London Underground had a strike so it affects travelling to Central London). I'm hoping to go out tomorrow if the shops are open.

I finished watching the BBC TV series of Narnia and completed my viewing of the special features disc. I recommend watching the new and old interviews and the outtakes. Won't spoil it for you in this entry, no worries.

For some reason when I was out today, I started thinking of fanfics. Don't know why, I just did. Some involved Mako and at times it involved a fellow cape guy that has a groovy theme tune *starts scribbling plot ideas.*
