'I don't think that we can ever be what we were, you know? I just don't think I can trust you' )

Yesterday I went to London Bridge for A Scoop Of Korea. There were different events taking place in the city but I was primarily in London for the Korean village. It finishes today but I'm not going - as tempted as I am. I didn't spend too long at the village as I missed a few things. I did catch the Taekwondo demonstrations which were epic and I got overexcited from the martial arts :)

There were a few food stalls but we didn't try everything. I ate a free chicken salad that was given out to the visitors along with a cup of ginseng tea plus pancakes. One was Kimchi and onion and the other was spring onion pancakes. Tasty. I didn't go for the bbq stuff as it looked really messy on the chefs' side. We also had gyoza but it's same one we normally heat up at home or in the Japanese restaurant we frequently visit for lunch.

Samples of pics I took:

I had entered a competition to win tickets to go to Korea and had to rip out the advertisement in order to get a free gift from Korea Sparkling. Got a nice bag see which had leaflets, brochures and even a wrapped present. All the staff at the stalls spoke decent English but bless the 'interpreter' at the cooking show. While the main female chef was speaking in her native language a servant next to her had to translate the instructions in English and was struggling. A lot of people left because they didn't know what was going on.

This is what I ended up getting after unwrapping the gift - a jigsaw puzzle of Korea

The Taekwondo demonstrations had a variety of background music to go with the event. You had Kpop, rock/metal instrumentals I wasn't even familiar with, dance tracks and The Prodigy at one time. Two girls and a few guys were showing their super skillz in front of us. Too bad I couldn't take really good pics as I was near the top and couldn't get down the steps to get a better view.

There was a guy I thought quite cute. Couldn't remember which one though as a lot of the men were dressed in the same costumes. Might be one of the guys holding the umbrella for the King and Queen x) I even thought some of the guys at the Taekwondo demo weren't too shabby either haha

The Hallyu magazine had a lot of info on the drama settings and I recognised a few faces XD The shame of me. I suddenly realised I missed K-dramas and Korean music lol!!

A small list

- Muse's new album The Resistance. Uprising is so catchy and funky. I already pre-ordered a copy because orchestra + rock or symphonic rock = yes please. I really am getting into this band. I might purchase their HAARP cd/dvd album. Can totally see how these guys get nominated for best live act awards. They just fill up the arenas. Definitely a band to see live with my own eyes when I get the chance.

- Anette Olzon's solo album. Of course I'm eager for Nightwish's new album when it comes out next year but anything with Anette I'm very open to. Check out her official blog btw. It's fun to read. She updates a lot :)

- A week off from work next month. Still planning on a city break somewhere in Europe.

- Heroes season 4. It's going to be as cracky as Torchwood. I smell it but I hope the crack will not make me go 'head meet desk' too often and not baffle my weak brain with the wtf-ness that the second part of season 3 did.

- Supernatural season 5. If this is the last season I will see it to the very end. What will happen to our beloved Winchester boys?

is there any non iTunes prog that is free and doesn't require administrator privileges on your computer?

List 10 of your favorite characters from different fandoms, and ask people to spot patterns in your choices, and if they're so inclined, to draw conclusions about you based on the patterns they've spotted.

1) Kino Makoto (Bishoujo Senshi Sailormoon)
2) Shinomori Aoshi (Rurouni Kenshin)
3) Sakurazuka Seishirou (Tokyo Babylon, X)
4) Niki Sanders (Heroes)
5) Masahashi Ando (Heroes)
6) Buffy Summers (Buffy)
7) Gwen Cooper (Torchwood)
8) Meredith Grey (Grey's Anatomy)
9) Sam Winchester (Supernatural)
10) T-Bag (Prison Break)

There's more but I tried to think of characters I felt I had deeper thoughts on.

If you were in trouble or ran afoul of the law, which fictional detective or investigator—from tv, movies, or books—would you want to help you?

My top choice would be Gene Hunt without a doubt. But if it was supernatural or spooky stuff I'd call Fox Mulder or those Winchester brothers XD

The recent SPN episode made me think more things than the previous week with Criss Angel Is A Douche Bag. Perhaps because I felt nostalgic for all the wrong reasons.

Wow so I heard the last day of the Kerrang! Relentless tour had to be cancelled because the power couldn't be fixed for a long time. I feel bad for those who had to queue up for so many hours in the cold weather and deal with this venue problem. If Brixton Academy has this problem up till March when Nightwish come to London and causes said band to cancel their forthcoming gig as well the fans better get refunds for their tickets!!

So far with Demons I still find the characters are not as engaging as they should be but I might reserve deeper judgment when I go past a few more episodes. It's starting to improve a little in terms of characterisation but some of the plot is still quite messy. Then again I'm not expecting huge epic cliffhangers in any way. Next week looks promising for Mina. Shed some light on her yes please writers. I feel absolutely bad for Ruby's part in the series. The writers better help her out. I think Galvin is a little more enlightening after watching episode 3 as it touches on his past slightly.

Pre-ordered Franz Ferdinand's new album Tonight. Heard some samples of the new songs and Franz still has their catchy sound, adding a few changes. Ulysses MV for forthcoming single. It's catchy and I think Alex looks quite hot in the video XD

I didn't know the DW team announced the 11th Doctor last night. I think I was very distracted by my Korean film viewing and went to bath straight away after taking a break. I had a funny thought developing which involves Rose/Billie-chan coming back and seeing the new Doctor. It just relates to the two actors being in The Ruby In The Smoke (Matt Smith was Jim who I thought was charming XD). It's a daft crack idea really. It'll make my head hit the keyboard even more if I find a later incarnation of the Doctor becomes beyond Chibi so he is in nappies. If Doctor does get younger so he's a teen it might make him seem like a child prodigy on the outside.

I watched Demons last night -domo Gene Hunt with American accent- and given its time slot it was fun supernatural cheese. I got crossover ideas from watching it. Mina looks like a fusion of Blair Waldorf, one of the girls from Charmed and Cassie from Hex O_O!! I'd be interested to see Demons crossing up with Hellsing or Supernatural lol. I'll continue watching it for Philip Glenister's sake (and Christian Cooke though that could be because I met him at LFCC 2008 ^^;;).

Anyway back to the Korean film viewing - I blame The Good, The Bad, The Weird for this because it served as a huge reminder as to what I missed in Korean media. The last time I watched Asian films or dramas was probably two years ago. Um maybe I could blame Jung Woo Sung because he inspired me to watch some of his earlier films x3

Fear not US or UK dramas I will not abandon you lah!!
