( 'I don't think that we can ever be what we were, you know? I just don't think
I can trust you' )Yesterday I went to London Bridge for
A Scoop Of Korea. There were different events taking place in the city but I was primarily in London for the Korean village. It finishes today but I'm not going - as tempted as I am. I didn't spend too long at the village as I missed a few things. I did catch the Taekwondo demonstrations which were epic and I got overexcited from the martial arts :)
There were a few food stalls but we didn't try everything. I ate a free chicken salad that was given out to the visitors along with a cup of ginseng tea plus pancakes. One was Kimchi and onion and the other was spring onion pancakes. Tasty. I didn't go for the bbq stuff as it looked really messy on the chefs' side. We also had gyoza but it's same one we normally heat up at home or in the Japanese restaurant we frequently visit for lunch.
Samples of pics I took:

I had entered a competition to win tickets to go to Korea and had to rip out the advertisement in order to get a free gift from Korea Sparkling. Got a nice bag
see which had leaflets, brochures and even a wrapped
present. All the staff at the stalls spoke decent English but bless the 'interpreter' at the cooking show. While the main female chef was speaking in her native language a servant next to her had to translate the instructions in English and was struggling. A lot of people left because they didn't know what was going on.
This is what I ended up getting after unwrapping the gift - a jigsaw puzzle of Korea

The Taekwondo demonstrations had a variety of background music to go with the event. You had Kpop, rock/metal instrumentals I wasn't even familiar with, dance tracks and The Prodigy at one time. Two girls and a few guys were showing their super skillz in front of us. Too bad I couldn't take really good pics as I was near the top and couldn't get down the steps to get a better view.

There was a guy I thought quite cute. Couldn't remember which one though as a lot of the men were dressed in the same costumes. Might be one of the guys holding the umbrella for the King and Queen x) I even thought some of the guys at the Taekwondo demo weren't too shabby either haha

Magazines, leaflets and brochures I got

The Hallyu magazine had a lot of info on the drama settings and I recognised a few faces XD The shame of me. I suddenly realised I missed K-dramas and Korean music lol!!
